Summer Lovin Tuesday Twosome

What two things are you going to miss the most about summer?

Daylight savings time... I love long sunny days. And Ted Drewes being open.

What two things annoyed you the most about summer:

When the heat index and temperature is greater than 100. Leave request denials at my job... wait that is all year round, not just the summer.

Name two memorable moments from this past summer

Seeing The Color Purple on Broadway. Going to Memphis for a family reunion.

Did you go on vacation this summer and if so, where?

Yes, see the response above.

Who has more fun during summer: A child or an adult? And why?

I suppose a child, because even in extreme heat conditions they can manage to have fun. As long as I keep the juice and fruit snacks headed their way, the twins are fine.

Where were you 6 years ago (on September 11)?

Six years ago I was working at RadioShack, but I was off that day. I watched all of the events on television

What two major emotions do recall feeling?

Fear and sadness

Who were the first two people you called that day?

JT and my mom.

What two words best describes that day for you?

Chaos and destruction

What two major changes in your life has occurred since that day?

I have children and started talking to my father again.

New York Part One

I guess it is about time that I wrote about my fabulous trip to New York. This is part one of...well I am not sure how many parts. I stole this idea from Chris (even though he never finished his other parts).

Last year, my best friend Tiffany, thought that it would a great idea to go to New York for her bachelorette party. She is getting married on Saturday, August 30, 2003. The bachelorette party would consist of all the bride's maids; myself, Sonya, Terenie, Lena, Jackie and Stacy. First thing that came out of my mouth was, "Umm yeah, how much is that gonna be?" I am not really a cheap person, but my budget is tight and New York ain't no cheap place to travel or LIVE in. Tiffany researched and found this great package on Expedia, $450.00 per person which included airflight (round trip) and three nights of hotel stay. Luckily, I was able to pay for that with my 2002 federal tax return.

I really did not get too excited about the trip until the week of (we left on Thursday night). I started telling co-workers at work about my trip and some
were telling me where I gotta go. I was like psssst whatever because when it came down to it, I was gonna go see the sites that I wanted to well at least as many as I could see in that brief duration.
