Sending Prayers to the Gulf

Hurricane Gustav 5 Day ProjectionI came across this last night. A 5 day projection for Hurricane Gustav. I am sending thoughts and prayers to everyone that has or may be impacted by the hurricane. I watched the news yesterday and I was really surprised and amazed that despite the outcome of Hurricane Katrina, there are still people that choose to stay in their homes after an evacuation notice.

Really amazing.

I have never been in a situation where I had to evacuate my home (thankfully), but unlike some in Louisiana, I think I would not stick around in my home to wait and see if the water will stay under 9 feet with my house reaching 10 feet. I would have the same thought whether or not I have children.

Even Department of Homeland Security, Secretary Michael Chertoff openly admitted that the levees are stronger than they were in 2005 but not 100%. That would be enough proof for me folks.

  1. Don't look now, but here comes Ike. Looks like this one will be at least as dangerous, if not more so. All of those people who just returned - now do they turn around and leave again?
