I have had a great deal of mood swings in the last week. This has been the most that I have had in several months. I really cannot put my finger on one thing that has caused the mood swings. Some of it stems from financial concerns, crap at work and communication issues at home. The one thing I do know for certain is that I need to get back in the gym. Not just to get into physical shape but also for my mental well-being. When I was working out consistently for three weeks straight, I saw a drastic positive change in my mood and presence. My muscles ached terribly but it was tolerable. I was not as impatient with JT and the twins and I was more active at home. I miss that feeling. Now to get the motivation and get up early enough in the mornings to work out before my shift starts at work. Thankfully, the gym is in my building. I have a locker with all of my shower goods so I can freshen up before my duties begin.
That is my goal for the week.
I need that feeling back because I hate feeling down like I do right now.
Yesterday, the family and I went to Red Lobster to celebrate Aunt S. birthday which was on Valentine's Day. We had a very large party... I think around 20 people came and I think that Aunt S. really enjoyed herself. I ordered my regular: calamari & veggies for the appetizer and shrimp three ways for the main meal. After the meal, Aunt S. opened her cards and gifts... she received four $50 bills... because it was her 50th birthday and one $50 gift card. She was very excited to see the $50 bills. William and Keisha were very mannerable throughout the meal. JT escorted William to the men's restroom and William used the urinal like the big boy that he is. I later took Keisha to the women's restroom. Keisha didn't understand why I put down the toilet seat covers on the toilet. I told her I use them to cover the germs as much as we can. She looked back as if she were thinking whatever mom. I had to calm Keisha down after the loud automatic flush nearly scared her to death. All was well after that.
As we prepared to leave, JT saw one of his teachers from high school. He chatted with her for a while then brought the twins and I over to introduce us. After we left Red Lobster, we headed down the street to Best Buy. My ghetto keyboard that came with my HP media center went crazy. Months ago, the Y key would only capitalize if I hit the right shift plus Y, but not with the left shift. Then the number 6 key went out and I could only type 6 from the number pad on the far right. We bought the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. So far I really like it... I am only missing out on all of my media keys that my previous keyboard had. But I can manage with short cuts such as CTRL-F for fast forward skip and CTRL-P for pause. I also like the zoom feature for zooming in on maps and such. I need to get a PS/2 to USB adapter so I can use it with my monitor switch.
