Tell me why there is more gossip in the work place than back in the day during middle school and high school? During school, at least you know who the cliques are, who you can and cannot trust. At work, everyone is out for themselves. You might have ONE or TWO associates but other than that you are on your own. I try not to say much, I just listen to all of the gossip. Hey I’m not going to even lie, that news is to my ears like chicken is to my belly. I just can’t pass up a free three piece and a biscuit. So I listen and listen and giggle when it calls for such and that’s about it.

You know that I’m always rushing to work at the very last minute. My bus arrives at my stop at about 8:57am (give or take a minute). Somehow EVERYDAY I manage to do something around the house (mainly checking email, watching television or random stuff on the computer) until 8:36am, look at the clock, scream “OH SHIT,” run into the living room, wonder what the hell I’m going to wear, run into the bathroom, take care of my business in there, look at the clean clothes in my laundry basket and do the best I can to pick out something that doesn’t require to be ironed. Next thing I know it’s 8:45am. I’m running around aimlessly, I dash over to the home theatre system to turn on 100.3 The Beat. I only listen to the radio about twenty minutes a day; weekdays only. Ten minutes at home in the morning and ten minutes on the bus listening to the MJ Morning Show.

Anyway, after I find some non-wrinkled clothes to wear, I stare at the clock on the VCR for about a minute and wonder why I go through this hectic routine everyday. Then I grab my clothes, slip them on with the quickness, brush my hair, feed my cat (unless JT already fed him), put on my work ID, grab my bag, pet Tigger and go downstairs and out of the door. Finally, I hold my bags tautly then I dash around the corner, and up the hill to the bus stop. If I don’t run, I’ll miss the bus lol.. all of this I did in twenty-two minutes.

I wonder how things would go if I would start to get ready now. It’s currently 7:54am. I’ll probably never know.
