Dora the Explorer

I was introduced to Dora the Explorer today at work. Before today, I had heard of the cartoon only once or twice. I was surprised that nearly 80% of a room full of adults knew the theme song. Well as I thought about it, that was understandable because most of them have young children at home. Dora seems quite entertaining yet pushy at the same time, "Say 'map'...say 'map' SAY IT, SAY IT," it's as if she isn't pleased until you say 'map.' Dora also teaches Spanish. Reminds me of how Seseme Street introduced me to Espanol when I was young *taking a walk down memory lane.* And let's not forget Dora's sidekick, Boots, a naked monkey that only wears boots; he is funny too. Don't ask why or how I was introduced to Dora AT WORK DURING TRAINING lol, that doesn't really matter. What does matter is that Dora kept me entertained so much that for once I didn't fall asleep during training. "YAY WE DID IT!!" *jumps around like a happy eight year old girl who just got $5 from the tooth fairy* It's difficult to find a quality cartoon on television these days, so the next time I'm flipping around through my satellite, I may stop on Nickelodeon to watch Dora the Explorer.
