Trip to the Mountains

It only takes one thing to make a day go bad at work. My day was hectic but overall pleasing because I was handling my own. The end… not so good because this women (I am this close to calling her a not-so-good name but I am not going to stoop to that level yet) decides she wants to approach me and she did not come correct!!

My job is/was having a major restructure. For a while some were saying reorganization while others were saying restructure. To be honest they sound like the same damn thing to me. I learned this week the difference between restructure and reorganization. It still seems a tad silly to me but reorganization involves a few changes in a group, perhaps one or two people may switch groups and a restructure involves a major reorganization in group structures. Yeah whatever. Pretty much everyone is/was going to move seats but not all at once, that is just too like right. A groups/people moved at a time which caused people to wait on the person to move out of his/her future seat and this set off a nasty chain reaction.

I did not change my seat until today but from the moment I arrived at the beginning of my shift the lady who was supposed to move in my seat was bugging me about when I am going to move. My reply was that I was waiting on the women (whose seat I am supposed to move into) to move. Her desk was still cluttered with paperwork and food crumbs *UGH* Also, throughout the day, I helped people set up their email and transfer their favorites from one computer to the other. It was crazy but a smooth crazy… I really did not like having to clean up after another person. So she perhaps did not have time to clean up but you mean to tell me that you set in your own filth daily. Do not even clean up every now and then? Once a month? Nope. There is still food crumbs all over the damn floor because I do not have access to a vacuum. TRIFE.

Near the end of the shift, the lady whose desk I took over decides to come over. First she stood over me while I was on a call and she looked around. After the call she asked me about a few of her things. I told her I did not know anything about that stuff because someone else cleared out everything (except the trash) for her. A guy later came around and picked up the trash (by the way… I cannot stand this trash guy he is a major idiot). Anyway I told her I did not know anything and I left it at that. She gave me this funny ass look and I looked back, then turned back around to my computer. About five minutes later she comes back to me to ask me about something of hers that was hanging on the cubicle. Okay, did I not just tell you that I did not know nothing? I told her, I assumed that it was grabbed with her other stuff!! She gave me another funny look and walked back to the other cubicle to talk to a coworker. I cannot stand funny ass people and I really cannot stand them in the work place. Outside of work you do not have to deal with funny ass people… at work you gotta work with them (daily) and sometimes there is no way around that.

Tomorrow evening (Friday, right after work) we are headed out to Colorado to visit a dear friend of ours. It will be a short visit but an important one. We will be back Tuesday. The trip will be a little emotional for me because my Daddy lives there and I have not seen him for two years. I am really not ready to see him at this point in my life… so I doubt that I will even call him. I have not yet forgiven him for leaving his family. This has been a difficult decision but *shrugs*… well but nothing I suppose.

Say a prayer for me that it does not snow 4985030 inches up in the mountains while we are there. You know Colorado got some unpredictable weather at times. Which reminds me I need to be on Weather.com right about now. I always wait until the last minute to pack. In fact I should be packing now!! Aww man I did not do the Friday Five yet. At my new computer I could not access my website today, but if it works tomorrow I will add that later. See ya guys on Tuesday… have a great weekend.
