Since I last wrote here, I was scared to death about Keisha’s lack of hearing. Thankfully since then, her hearing has drastically improved. From March to Mid May the hearing worsened by the week, then suddenly in May things started to get better and this was even before the ENT appointment. Prayer is powerful. I do not think that flushing her ears out alone helped much because she still failed all of the hearing tests. Something changed in the middle of May… something.

Keisha’s pediatrician was able to help get us an ENT appointment in May. Her ENT prescribed her amoxicillin despite their being no sign of infection. He was hoping the antibiotic would help get rid of the fluid. I had never heard of prescribing an antibiotic for fluid without infection. After taking this for 10 days, Keisha’s hearing gradually came back to normal. Whatever normal is… heh.

I have to get ready for work now. Hope to be back soon to write more.
