The Thinking Blogger Award

Last month, I was honored over at The Far Corner with The Thinking Blogger Award. Thank you Baxter again, for thinking of me.
The award has some rules and responsibilities attached to it. These are:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs which make you think.
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.
3. Optional: Proudly display the Thinking Blogger Award.
Here are 5 blogs which make me think:
1. Dooce. I have been reading Dooce for years but became an avid reader during my pregnancy in 2003. While Dooce discussed dealing with her depression, raising her child, marriage, Chuck and everything else about life, I was capitivated. I connected to a woman in Utah, hundreds of miles from me that I have never met. Dooce helped me a great deal through the rockiest parts of my depression and I thank her for that.

2. Jess. Jessica is a wonderful writer. I have known her online for about five years and she has blossomed beautifully over the years. She has no fear in her writing and I admire that. Sex, philosophy, racism… she talks about any and everything. I wish I could write half as good as she can. I am still upset at myself for not hooking up with her and Jorrell in New York in 2003. Maybe I will get to go there again one day soon.

3. Minerva. At Womanly Parts, Minerva tells her story about battling cancer, dealing with chemotherapy, physical change and many other topics. I met Minerva through BlogShares a few months ago. She is a very kind and strong woman.

4. Lisa. I have been diggin this woman and her site for years. I think I met her through Carmen at Kthxbi Forums. She is a great writer and designer… and oh yeah she has twins. I am partial to mothers with twins you know…

5. I have been sitting here stuck at number five for a long while. In fact I started this post last night and had to save it to come back to it because I could not think of a number five. Most of my all-time favorites are gone… like Brick at HouseofBrick.net, Huny at thatbitch.com and I_Boogie at Sublime October. They always had me thinking about something such as relationships and careers. For now, I do not have a number five… but maybe in the near future that will change.
