The Next Day

As expected, yesterday, William was very thankful to be home and out of the hospital. After G-Nanny and Aunt Tee Tee picked us up, we headed to Walgreens to fill William’s prescription. Keisha was sleep at first, but when she woke up, she was ecstatic to see her brother at her side. They held hands while sitting in the car seats until William fell asleep. The strength of their brother-sister bond warms my heart.

That afternoon, after William had a very long and well-deserved nap, his godmother Tee Tee (yes, the twins have an aunt Tee Tee and godmother Tee Tee), godbrother and sister came over to visit. This really brightened William’s spirit. The children joyfully ran throughout the livingroom, kitchen and in my hallway. Throughout the evening, I kept my eye on William to make sure things were okay.

Today we relaxed at home… the normal routine for the weekend. I took a restful nap with the children in the afternoon.

Because JT and I had both received good news from our jobs, we decided to treat ourselves to take out Chinese food for dinner. I ordered garlic chicken san mushrooms and water chestnuts (bleh!), egg rolls, crab rangoon, chicken fried rice for the twins and beef and broccoli for JT. And they deliver, which makes things even better.

Keisha was extremely picky with her rice. I don’t know what’s up with that, because she normally likes Chinese food. On the other hand, William couldn’t get enough in his belly. I was happy to see his strong appetite.
