Thanksgiving 2006

What am I thankful for…

Everyday when I wake up, I am thankful that God lets me breathe another day. I am thankful for my life. I am thankful for my health… I am working on my health, going to join a gym very soon. Next week matter of fact. Still working on the depression. Still working on other things. Although, I am not healthy like I want to be… I can breathe, walk, talk, work, think and carry my children… so that I am thankful for.

I am thankful for my children. William and Keisha. Everyday I look at my beautiful angels I thank God that you brought them into my life. I never dreamed of having twins, but here they are, my pride and joy. They have the capability to drive me nuts one minute and hug them with love the next. They are two years old now… how did that happen? When I last remembered, I was coming home from the hospital with newborns in infant carseats. Where did the time go? Keisha and William I am thankful that you are mine.

I am thankful for JT. We have been together for five years now… wow, five years. The longest relationship of my life. You are my lover, best friend and the father of my children. My soulmate. I love you dearly. I hope that we continue to work on our relationship as we have been doing the last few months. I look forward to the day when I say I do.

I am thankful for my family and friends. Mama, Dot, Tee Tee, C., Chrystal, H…. just to name a few but they are those who know me the best.

I am thankful for my cat, Tigger. You drive me crazy when you tear up our venetian blinds, but I still love you. I am thankful for my job. How else would I pretend to pay the bills? I am thankful for my house in which I live and wake up in everyday.

I am thankful for my enemies who have made me stronger over the years. Well maybe enemies is a nice dramatic word… but still it fits.

I am thankful for music. Music soothes my soul.

I am thankful that we were able to cook our Thanksgiving Dinner: turkey, turkey ham, fried chicken, fried whiting, macaroni & cheese, sweet potatoes, dressing, deviled eggs, salad, greenbean casarole and cranberry sauce.

I have a lot to be thankful for this year.
