Tuesday Twosome – Halloween
1. Celebrate it or don’t?
I used to celebrate it more so when I was younger. My Aunt Dot was very into decorating our front porch and having an extravagant costume on. I remember one year, she dressed up as a cat that reminded me of ThunderCats. I do not seem to be very into Halloween as the years have gone by.
2. Scary or just another yearly event?
Just another yearly event and a commercial scheme to rip off parents to buy new costumes for our children and give cavities to them with all the candy.
3. Scare or be scared?
I really hate to be scared… I do not handle haunted houses very well at all. So I guess I rather scare someone than be scared.
4. Give out candy or receive candy?
I prefer to give out candy than receive candy. My candy lasts all the way up until the next year because I eat so little of it. In fact, I just recently threw away some of the children’s Valentine candy from this passed February and Halloween candy from last year. Crazy, I know.
5. This year, staying home or going out?
Staying home. I had considered going to the Missouri History Museum but JT did not seem very excited about it, plus the event may have been too old for my babies. Keisha would be too scared from all of the ghost stories.
As the twins get older, I may get more involved in Halloween if that is what they want…

Tuesday Twosome… Health
1. Do you take vitamins and if so, what?
Yes, I take Women’s One a Day.
2. Do you make an effort to eat healthy, or you eat whatever you feel like eating?
I pretty much eat whatever I feel like eating and that has to stopped. I am working on make more healthy decisions for my lifestyle.
3. What two types of food do you have a hard time staying away from?
Potatoes and breads.
4. What are two food items you refuse to eat?
Artichokes and sardines.
5. Are you pleased with your daily diet or do you think it could be better?
As I mentioned in the previous post, I believe it could be a whole lot better.

Exhaustion Tuesday Twosome
What are two ways your relieve exhaustion?
Listen to music (see previous post) and take a hot bath with lavender oils or rock salt. Feels so good.
What two daily activities/chores do you find exhausting?
Folding clothes… actually washing and drying clothes is easy, but I hate folding the clothes. I am also not very good at keeping my bedroom tidy. Cleaning it is very exhausting.
Do you generally wake up exhausted or go to bed exhausted?
Monday through Friday mornings I wake up exhausted because I really really really do not want to go to work. Saturday and Sunday, I go to bed exhausted because I stay up late.
What is more exhausting? An unwanted telephone call or running into an acquaintance you barely remember?
When you are the most exhausted, what two things do you wish the most?
I feel that running into someone I barely remember would be more exhausting because it would be hard to wiggle myself out of the conversation and fake my way through it. On the phone, I could act like the signal dropped on the cell phone and just hang up.

Summer Lovin Tuesday Twosome
What two things are you going to miss the most about summer?
Daylight savings time… I love long sunny days. And Ted Drewes being open.
What two things annoyed you the most about summer:
When the heat index and temperature is greater than 100. Leave request denials at my job… wait that is all year round, not just the summer.
Name two memorable moments from this past summer
Seeing The Color Purple on Broadway. Going to Memphis for a family reunion.

Who has more fun during summer: A child or an adult? And why?
I suppose a child, because even in extreme heat conditions they can manage to have fun. As long as I keep the juice and fruit snacks headed their way, the twins are fine.

Six years ago I was working at RadioShack, but I was off that day. I watched all of the events on television

Fear and sadness

JT and my mom.

Chaos and destruction

I have children and started talking to my father again.

Tuesday Twosome
Well Aunt Dot called me this evening and said that Ameren Electric finally made it over her house and was able to hook up their electric. The Ameren guy recommended to have an electrician come out to the house to replace her meter box. We both thought that American was responsible for that, but I guess not. Regardless, I am happy that my aunt has a heated home now. My prayers are still with many of my coworkers as there are many in Missouri and Illinois that remain without power for six days now.
Tuesday Twosome
1. In your opinion, does the news media focus more attention on good or bad news?
Yes, the news does focus more attention on bad news. This is why I limit the amount of news that I watch. All of the bad news is depressing.
2. What two things would you change about how the news is reported?
I would have more good news reports; for example, visiting local schools and speaking with students and their achievements and local events. Second, I would have a better variety of reporters. I get tired of seeing the same journalists. Boring.
3. Do you tend to watch the same news stations or do you change it around depending on the day?
I tend to watch the same news stations. For local news I watch KSDK Channel 5 and for world news I watch Headline News. If there are special events then I watch CNN, Headline News, MSNBC and all the local news stations.
4. Do you generally believe most of what the news media reports or do you tend to dismiss their reporting?
I am generally a skeptic. I listen to the news and then I think to myself oh this is what really happened…

Yes. I would like to think that no one has told me I love you and not meant it. I guess I will just stick to that.

No, I don’t believe in love at first sight. I believe in lust at first sight. Yes, I do believe in karma.
3. What person do you trust the most? What person do you trust the least?
I trust JT, my mom and Tee Tee the most. I trust management at my job the least.
4. What type(s) of music do you like? What type(s) of music do you dislike?
I like R&B, neo-soul, jazz and hip-hop the most. I dislike country music.

My celebrity crush is The Rock. mmmmm. I have been told that my celebrity look-a-like is Rah Digga.

Describe
1. The perfect autumn day and what activities you enjoy.
Never done this, but it sounds lovely to me: 60 degrees outside… backyard is full of leaves, I would take the twins outside and we jump into the pile of leaves and laugh nonstop. Afterward we all join in to gather the leaves into bags.
2. Two things about yourself that make you different from everybody else:
I can wiggle my ears. I burned my the back of my leg with a curling iron when I was 12.
3. The last time you laughed really hard and why:
The fact that I can’t remember makes me sad.
4. Two items of clothing that best represents who you are:
Thick sweatshirt with a pull over hoodie. A long-sleeved t-shirt in all earth tones.
5. Yourself as others see you and how you see yourself:
I believe that others see me as emotional, intelligent and loyal. I see myself as ambitious but a procrastinator, unorganized and dependent.
