Red Dragon
It seems like it had been ages since JT and I went to the movies. Ooh wait, we saw Ecks vs Sever (see journal entry) but that just doesn’t compare to Red Dragon. Red Dragon is the prequel to the adaptation of Thomas Harris’ novel, Silence of the Lambs. I shall not dive into the plot because I don’t have time to (gotta go to work in a bit). Once again, Anthony Hopkins played a wonderful insane, sadistic forensic pyschologist/serial killer and Edward Norton wasn’t bad himself. In brief, I would have to say that Red Dragon was three times better than Hannibal and almost as good as Silence of the Lambs. There isn’t that much gore in this movie, so if you love suspense and a little thriller go ahead and check this one out. $36.5 million in the first week at the box office is well deserved.
