Pre Turkey Day

I would so like to say that I have been mad busy working on my homework, a new layout, my other site(s) *looks around* and other miscellaneous projects around home… but that would like be a big fat lie. Over the weekend, I did not do much be get reacquainted with one of my all-time favorite PC games, The Sims. This game is highly addictive… so addictive that when it first came out I was playing it hours at a time. Things got so bad that I finally came out of denial, uninstalled it and did not play it for about three years. LOL do not laugh at me, laugh with me. Fast forward three years later… remember when I was talking about my five hour rendezvous in Best Buy? Well one of the things that I bought*giggles @ JT* was The Sims Double Deluxe. It was on sale for $24.99!! I could not pass up such a deal…

Last week, the weather was pushing seventy degrees… this week started off barely in the twenties!! Today is not quite as bad, I think it is about forty degrees with a chance of hitting the lower fifties… but come on now going from seventy to twenty is just not right. I have been bundled tightly in my leather coat and long black scarf, along with a bunch of other layers. I really hate sitting aside that extra time in the morning for putting extra layers on lol… and I really hate it when I have to strap my boots on. You see I am all about the get ready for work in ten minutes method. The good thing is that I did not have to go on a scavenger hunt for all of the winter paraphernalia… boots, gloves, scarf and such. But wait, I forgot it took me a while to find my leather coat when all along it was on the floor in my closet. Yeah yeah my closet is junky… I am still looking for my Liz Claiborne black purse and it was not on the floor of my junky closet…

JT and I did our Thanksgiving meal shopping last night. It went fairly smooth… I had my coupons and all three major grocery store ads at hand. We went to Aldis, Dierbergs and Shop and Save and would have hit up Schnucks as well but the other stores covered all of our needs. You know that I simply cannot get everything I need at one store, knowing that the other store has a better deal. This is what you call power shopping. I must admit that I have not mastered power shopping like Mama has… she has her nice fat coupon book organized into sections like frozen foods, cleaning supplies, etc… meanwhile I have this mini plastic thingy I got from Walgreens that has all my coupons stuffed into one section. Also, she has her list so organized on one piece of paper in the perfect handwriting… meanwhile I have part of my grocery list on my PDA, part of it scribbled in black permanent marker on the grocery ad, part of the list on a piece of paper stuffed in my purse and the other part not even written because I forgot I needed that one item…
I will get it together one day LOL

Tomorrow we are going to the infamous Turkey Day Game at Kirkwood High School, between Kirkwood and Webster Groves. If I was not all about tradition, I probably would not even go because the B teams are playing. And why are the B teams playing instead of the varsity teams you ask? Because our (Kirkwood) rival, Webster Groves made it to state… and they say it just is not fair to have varsity team play the other B team, therefore we will have two B teams playing each other. The messed up thing is that this happened two years ago too!! I would be excited and all if it was my alma mater that made it to state *grumble*… oh well we are still going and Mama is going too, for the first time ever. I am excited after all…

I will take plenty of pictures unless the powers that be make me forget my camera at home like they did for Halloween when JT and I went to Fright Fest *rolls eyes*

I hope everyone has a safe and lovely Thanksgiving. If I am not to stuffed with turkey, stuffing, macaroni, green beans, sweet potatoes, corn, peach cobbler, cake, chicken and salad, I might post tomorrow!!
