Oh Clumsy Me
Since I was pregnant, I’ve become more and more clumsy. I’ve had my share of accidents since childhood but never nothing on a consistent basis. This evening I was printing some wallet-sized pictures of the twins and I was so ecstatic about how well they turned out /geek that I decided to show JT, who was downstairs. I grabbed the printed photos and thought to myself, well let’s save a trip and grab these two big empty boxes for the trash. I carried the boxes in my left hand and the pictures in my right and began to walk barefoot downstairs. Okay… well not quite walk and not quite run, but I took two steps downstairs and the next thing I know, my left thigh and butt are hitting the stairs, I’m reaching for the banister and I nearly fell all the way down to the bottom of the staircase. I was literally scared the death, everything was moving in slow much. The last time I was this scared about falling was when I fell down in the computer room when I was pregnant. After I fell down on the stairs, a few seconds went by before I said ouch and I’m not really sure why that moment went down like that. JT yelled what happened, ran over and I told him that I fell downstairs and hurt my leg. I have a really bad rug burn on the back of my leg that happens to be above a scar. JT eased the pain by applying a vitamin E capsule to it. When we picked up the children from my mom’s house, Mama gave me a pack of gauze. The gauze helped further alleviate the pain because the skin wouldn’t have direct contact with my nightgown and the bed.
And oh yeah… we got to see Harry Potter, which I feel was the second best of the series, behind the first. JT feels that it was the best of all four. I’m anxious to see the fifth of the series since this one was the first cliffhanger.
