Congratulations to Miss Florida, Ericka Dunlap for winning Miss America 2004. Miss Dunlap is the sixth African American to win the competition in the history of the event. Yes, I am counting Vanessa Williams LOL. I did not even watch the whole event, but I was informed by Carmenina Watkins last night at 9:56:

Carmen (9:56:05 PM): MISS AMERICA IS TEH BLACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I turned it on, to catch the tail end of her screaming oh my god, oh my god… and yes I got a glimpse of that horrific weave she had on. Get a new hairdresser and congrats again!! On another note, why is she Miss Missouri? Why??

For anyone that burns audio and data CDs on the regular… get Nero. The only failed CDs that I have had from Nero have been because of me attempting to squeeze an 82 minute CD onto an 80 minute CD-R. Sometimes you can use the write overburn option on Nero. It gives you a warning about how it may mess up your blank CD and possibly your burner, yadda yadda… but generally if you have a Prince CD you know how he loves those 6 minute plus songs… and you trying to burn a copy you might have to use that overburn option to make it work. Try it if you have not already. The only time I could not get the overburn feature to work was when I tried (four times) to burn disc two of the WWE Anthology. Discs one and three burned without problems, but when I tried disc two, the overburn option popped up and I was like ok… but then it failed (four times). I ended up manually editing each track of disc two by snipping of the end of each song with Cool Edit Pro. I was pissed off because this was extremely time consuming (in my opinion), but the end result was pleasing.

I will not get to see the WWE PPV (Unforgiven) tonight at Hooters *sniff sniff* and I want to see Underworld and Fighting Temptations at the theatre, but instead tonight, I will be glued to my seat watching the 55th Annual 2003 Emmy Awards to see the special tribute to John Ritter, the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award to Bill Cosby and HBO rack up on all the Emmys for their shows. Sex in the City owns me. The nerve of HBO to put Carnivale on at the same time the Emmys are on!!

I still need to reformat my hard drive. I said I was going to do this last week *sigh* yet I keep downloading more stuff and my desk is a total mess… bills are everywhere, but I know where everything is!! Really, I do LOL… and I need to schedule a hair appointment with the quickness. The Rams play against the Seahawks today and I do not give a damn about the Cardinals anymore… If I remember all the other shit I said in this entry before I lost it, I shall edit later. Regardless, I think I have rambled enough.

I think it is a good thing that I missed out on the National Talk Like a Pirate Day. When I first saw that mentioned earlier today, I thought it was a joke until I came across this site which Smoke linked on kthxbi.
