Humidity Sucks

Hmmm I’m finally getting the hang of b2. Wasn’t as hard as I thought. Sometimes I have a fear of change which also applies to things outside of my weblog. That’s normal right?

St. Louis has some funky ass weather. It’s extremely humid here, the meteorologist claimed that it was going to rain all day and it didn’t start raining until I was on the bus headed home from work. Thankfully, I had my umbrella (Mama taught me well with being prepared for just about anything). In some parts of the town, golf ball sized hail put dents in people’s cars and heads. Thankfully, I missed out on this. I could probably count on one hand the times that I’ve actually seen hail. In St. Louis, it tends to hail in North County… weird, I wonder why.

The worst part of St. Louis humidity is that it is notoriously known to destroy and dismolish (yes I said dismolish– my friend, Ramon’s word) your hair do. It doesn’t matter if you are black, white, Latino, Asian…. St. Louis weather does not discriminate. If that humidity level is above ninety percent, it will successfully seek and destroy. If I get sista curls in the morning, they are destined to fall down into nothingness in a matter of minutes once I step out into the thick cloud of humidity. Generally, I choose my hairstyles carefully and my stylist, Sissy, uses great products. Speaking of getting my hair done, I haven’t been in a while and I meant to call Sissy today but I was pretty busy at work. I had intentions of calling twice, but I happened to be on a phone call with a customer then after the call, I managed not to remember and by the time I remembered AGAIN, it was 6:00pm and Sissy is usually not at the salon at that time. I’ll try to remember tomorrow. The thing is that I wanted a Saturday appointed and she may be booked by now.

I just don’t have the patience to do it myself. That’s why you will generally catch my long brownish-reddish-blackish hair wrapped up in a ponytail holder. You would think that since I don’t like to do my hair, why not cut it right? Umm, negative. JT would go into cardiac arrest if I even mentioned cutting my hair. My hair is down to the middle of my back now, but I imagine when I eventually make it over to Sheer Magic, Sissy will have to trim my split ends. A sista gots to get her hurr done.
