How to Raid Ideas on Blogshares

Raiding ideas is a great way to make extra money in the game. If your overall value in the game is well in the trillions, raiding may not be appealing. I currently have an overall value in the game over B$ 125 trillion and I still enjoy raiding.

What is raiding?

Raid Blog: This move steals 20-100% of the idea commodities produced by a blog in the artefact’s industry. Max. 500. For raiding, most players simply select a blog from the drop down menu provided. These top blogs in the Industry will typically yield the most Ideas for a Raid.

Net Effects:

For the artefact wielder, raiding is a positive move in that they acquire Ideas for zero price, raising their Net Worth by the value of the Ideas raided. They can convert these Ideas into cash by selling the acquired Ideas either on the Ideas Market or by issuing Bonds for those Ideas. A raid does not affect any other player in the game or their Net Worth, other than removing some of the supply of Ideas in the Ideas Market. However, if the available Ideas in an Industry drop to zero, the price of the next Ideas produced in that Industry may be significantly higher or lower than the previous price, affecting many players’ Net Worths.

In my bookmarks, I have the following page added:

Of course, where you see USERID, you would replace your blogshares ID. I use the above link because it sorts my artefacts by idea value from highest to lowest. When I am ready to raid industries, I always start at the top. When these ideas are available for raiding they will give you the most money per share, but not necessarily the most money total (which depends on how many ideas you get from the actual raid). For example, the most valuable industry with an artefact is currently Frogs, but Frogs does not raid well which means that you are lucky to get a few ideas from raiding this industry. On the other hand, the Perl industry (currently in the top 20 most valuable industries with an artefact) raids very well when you select from the top blogs to raid.

How to Raid the industry:

Go to the fifth column that is titled: Use / Left. Scroll down to an artefact that has Use* (the word use with an asterisk next to it). If the industry does not have an asterisk, then there are no ideas available to raid. Click on Use*

You will see a page like this:

On the first drop down menu for Action, select Raid Blog. Under Target, select one of the top blogs in the drop down menu. Generally speaking, the top blog will give you the most ideas per raid. After you have made these selections, click Use (Insert artefact name here).

After you click Use, you will see something like this:

There is a 15 second limit on the artefact use. Wait 15 seconds and you can use it again. After you have raided the industry twice, you have many options. You can move on to the next industry to raid, sell the ideas for B$ or hold on to the ideas to increase your overall idea value.

See how fun it is?
