Halloween

Happy Halloween… and I hope you all that are celebrating, are having a safe holiday.
I have not been big on Halloween since I was about fourteen years old. I think this was about the last year that my Aunt and I decorated our front porch for the children who came by trick-or-treating. It was a pretty cool arrangement that we used to have… plenty of dry ice for that smokey effect, Michael Jackson – “Thriller” playing in the background, decorated pumpkins with the lanterns all over the place and other decors. The young ones really used to freak out when I played Vincent Price’s horrific laughter at the end of the classic song, as they crept up the stairs. If they made it up to the porch, Aunt Dot would say, “Trick or Treat?” Some would say trick and we would have them do something silly or tell a joke. Even if they said, treat we still made them do something for the candy lol we were not giving out stuff for free!! I remember one year, we made kids dance… “Do the Running man boy!! You know that dance like MC Hammer, come on now, you want a Snicker bar don’t ya?” Meanwhile, in the background I was playing “U Can’t Touch This.” Those were the days…
Did you see the little Google Halloween graphic at the top? Just so cute!!
I think that Boog is my long lost twin sister or something. Yeah she is a little younger than me, so she might just be my long lost sister lol… Anyway, I swear every time I go visit my regular sites, Boog done already commented what I was going to say!! And it is not just a simple statement… it is like she uses the same sarcasm that I would have said and all. It is going to get a bit old when you will see me saying I agree with Boog all the time. So Boog, were you REALLY born in New York? Got family in St. Louis? What is your Mama’s name? LOL I know we must be related!! I luh you <3
Tonight JT and I are going to Six Flags Fright Fest. This should be a bunch of fun, considering I have not been there in YEARS. Let us see, the last time I went there I think I was in middle school or maybe even a freshmen in high school. I was having hella fun, until I ate a funnel cake topped with strawberry filling… and threw all of that up on the Mine Train. This was quite embarrassing to say the least… and I have not ate the fruit fillings on funnel cakes ever since. I still love funnel cakes though, but hold that topping. I called Six Flags and found out that if we bring a can of Coke, then the ticket is buy one get one free. This was really the determining factor of whether or not I was going to go. They want $39.00 for one ticket regular price!! Goodness gracious, so buy one get one free is not bad at all. I really want to get a season pass next year. Season passes are only $49.99, so if you visit only two times you already have received your money’s worth right there. We shall see… You know I take my camera everywhere I go, so the Kodak will be with me tonight. I will be putting the night view to use because it is going to be dark as hell. I will probably be lucky if only one or two pictures turn out well. Damn Daylight Savings!!
I do not think that I have anything planned for this weekend other than heading to the laundromat *boo* so I need to be doing my homework for my desktop publishing class. I just have no motivation as of late.
The worst part of this week: I saw Scary Movie 3 and it sucked big time… I want a refund right now!! They should have stopped with the first movie. Please no more sequels.
The best part of this week: I received a good evaluation at work and I purchased the Matrix tickets for JT and I in advanced at the student discounted rate!! Also, thanks to Max, I remembered to tape the free Prince concert on DirecTV this morning. For my fellow DirecTV users, I think that it will air again if you would like to catch the event. Aunt Dot first told me about it two days ago, but my short term memory is the pits. Last, but not least, the new season of 24 premiered on Tuesday. I taped it and JT and I watched it the other night… damn I love that show. WTF@ Jack being addicted to heroin and President Palmer with that woman *ugh*… I forgot to mention that we did finish season two on DVD during the way back home from Colorado Springs a couple of weeks ago. I had my little five inch color television and DVD player hooked up with an inverter in the truck. Ghetto Fabulous.
Have a great weekend all…
