Ebay Hell

I almost forgot the reason why I have not participated in an auction on Ebay, but lucky me I was reminded today. I found a great deal on a Victoria’s Secret bra. I began to make the purchase via the buy it now
feature and then I saw a couple of negative comments on the seller. I read the comments and one of them said that the bra was a rip off of VS. So then someone advised me to ask for a picture of the tag. I did not complete the purchase through Paypal and for some reason the item did not show under winning bids. I was willing to finish the transaction with a valid image. I emailed the woman and asked for a picture.
Here is her response to my original email:

Subject: Re: Question for seller — Item #2849635886I just received your “end of transaction” notification. You have already purchased a VS bra from me. Do you still want the pic of the tag?
and my response to that:

Yes, I would like a picture of the tag.
The fact is I did not purchase the bra. Perhaps this was miscommunication with the terminology. Does not to purchase mean to have paid for something? The answer to this was simply, no I did not purchase the bra.
Then she sends this email:

Patty
So now I see… you can purchase something without paying for it…, Next I received a copy of the transaction, labeled as the paperwork from Ebay. Then I responded with this email:

Subject: RE: eBay End of Transaction – Item #2849635886Then something is not going right because I neither see the transaction under my Ebay account nor Paypal. I hit cancel when I read the negative comments under your username. If you submit a decent picture of the tag, I will make my decision based on that. If I did purchase it, would it not show under my Ebay account?
And this is the truth, I have no reason to lie… the transaction is not under my winning bids nor my Paypal account. After that, I sent an email to Ebay requesting them to look further into the situation. Now mind you, all along all I want is a picture of the bra clearly showing that the bra is a legitmate VS. Then I would have skipped my happy ass over to Paypal and paid for it. But nope, not so simple.

Subject: Re: eBay End of Transaction – Item #2849635886I forwarded your transaction page. It should be under items won.
I have over 1300 transactions (over 800 pos feedbacks). One person said the tag was wrong. It may have been a mistake at the manufacturer, but I check each tag on its way out and it said VS. However, I have sold over 500 of those bras to satisfied customers.
I will not be sending the picture. I don’t like how this transaction has gone so far, and frankly doubt it will proceed any better. I have you listed as having bought the above item in my Selling Manager from Ebay. You are saying it doesn’t show up on your items won. I will not argue this anymore. I will archive your purchase and consider it complete. I will not give you negative feedback, as is my right for a nonpaying bidder. Once you hit the “Buy it Now” button, you have purchased the item. PayPal is only a means to paying your bill. This has incurred a final fee for your purchase that will take paperwork and more of my time to process in order for me to be refunded by Ebay.
Thank you for your consideration. I hope you find your bra at a good price.
Patty
I am not arguing the procedures with Patty. I was telling her that the transaction is not showing on my account. I guess she thought I was lying. All of a sudden she decides to not send a picture… umm okay.

And thank you for forwarding the transaction for a second time.
We are going back and forth, back and forth with this…

I’m glad that you read the transaction form and realize that you did purchase the bra, but decided to back out afterwards.

Never once did I say I would not pay for the bra. I wanted a picture of the tag and you originally agreed to provide that. Did you not? Look in the emails that I sent you throughout today and you will not find a statement such as I am not going to pay or anything similar. And if you can still provide the picture as you originally promised I WILL buy the bra. This is what I originally said.
Yeah… next time I will just take a trip down to the mall to get a real bra in person, if it is going to be this difficult to get a picture of a bra you say is from Victoria’s Secret. I do not care if 800 people are satisfied… one or two dissatisfied people are enough for me to ask further questions.
