Cliff Notes Please?

A lot has happened to in my life since I last wrote.
Unfortunately it seems that everytime something happens I go through a very long drought without writing here.
The Cliff Notes version:
Two days after I last wrote, William became very ill. He had a fever of 103.4. Daycare called and (I won’t go there with all the in between drama) we took him to his doctor in the hospital. Thankfully it was within business hours so we didn’t have to go to the emergency room. William’s doctor diagnosed him with bacterial pneumonia. I thought I was literally going to break into micro-Shaani bits all over the floor. I was devastated that my baby boy had pneumonia. After a long while of waiting, William was admitted to the fourth floor in his own room. Initially Dr. C said that we would be a few days… could my heart possibly break anymore? William is definitely a trooper though… he fought the pneumonia hard and we were only there two days. I stayed in the hospital with William the first night and JT stayed the second night. That is what parenting is all about… teamwork son. We need that all of the time.
When William came home I was ecstatic. I hugged William so many times he began to look at me a little crazy. I didn’t care though because my son was home and healthy!!
Christmas was very nice. When you become a parent, the materialistic part of the holiday season is… rather should be for the kids. William and Keisha had a great Christmas, therefore mommy had a great Christmas. They received (of course the gifts are in twos) a Leap Pad, shoes, lots of clothes and a few toys.
JT and I cooked a lot of food for the New Year’s Eve celebration. JT’s sister came over and my mom spent the night. We had a nice weekend overall.
My brother turned 21 on December 30 and has been drinking nonstop since then. Pray for him.
My birthday was January 27. I turned 28. I generally deal with even numbered years in age than odd. Hmm. And JT celebrated his birthday on February 9.
William and Keisha had their 18-month (they will actually be 18 months old next month) wellness visit on February 10. William weighed in at a whopping 26 pounds and Keisha, not too far behind weighed in at 22 pounds. William currently has 17 teeth… meanwhile, Keisha just won’t let me get a real good look to see all of her teeth, but I know she recently got a molar to come in.
JT bought me flowers and a card and William and Keisha bought me candy and a card for Valentine’s Day. So lovely.
The children have had colds on and off since December and of course whatever germs they pick up from daycare they kindly bring home to mommy. How can one resist kissing their lips and those squeezable cheeks? You just can’t. So in turn I’ve been sick on and off. Nothing too serious but tedious indeed.
During this time, JT and I saw two movies at the theatre, Underworld 2 and Big Momma’s House 2. We enjoyed them both.
For myself, I have continued to seek counseling which has helped but soon I will need to make a change. I have had ups and downs at my job and during the past 2 weeks it seems to be more downs than ups.
And that my dears, is the Cliff Notes version.
