The following is my Last.fm Artist widget. I listen to a great deal of Alicia Keys, Jill Scott, John Legend, etc. If you have a Last.fm account, you can create one at: http://www.last.fm/widgets. The widget is very simple to create and there are links where you can get the code to embed [...]

I came across another Wordpress Captcha plugin that I found at: http://recaptcha.net/. It is free to sign up and the process is simple and painless.
Here is a screen shot of how the captcha looks (click the image for a larger view):

If you are a regular visitor then you know that things are looking a little different. After several hours of battling with Drupal errors, I was fed up. Thanks to Eaglehawk, he helped transfer all of my Drupal 6.2 posts to Wordpress 2.5 using some information that he found on the internet.
This was one of [...]

After a few days of struggling with the Shadowbox Drupal module, I came across the Lightbox2 module. The installation was simple and I had zero errors when I enabled the module. I think part of the problem with the Shadowbox came with needing the thirdparty software.
I got the idea from my dear friend Rantz when [...]

I quickly decided to repost this because the same thing happened with the recent upgrade. I made a post several hours ago before we left to take the kids over to their grandmother and aunt’s house then to the movies. I was logged out of the Drupal administration on this computer, went to missnexus.com and [...]

I really did not mean to be gone for so long, but things happen like that.
A couple of good friends have positively pressured me into posting. Peer pressure is dangerous folks.
My overall health is okay, but my sanity is always questionable. The twins are getting over a cold and *drumroll*… pink eye. JT took them to the hospital yesterday and we now have eyedrops for them. William and Keisha are doing a lot better today than yesterday. They just fell asleep to Backyardigans playing in their room. Which reminds me that I need to turn their television off because I can hear it playing now. Pablo is yelling something… or is that Tyrone?
I am tired a lot these days, but according to Kat Williams, when you are a parent you are always tired.

Sometime last week, Missnexus.com went to a page rank of zero. *gasp*
Down from a 5 to 4 to 3 to 0.
Sorry, Google I will not be shedding any tears and having anxiety attacks over this like some other webmasters and bloggers have. I will not be begging and pleading for forgiveness. I will not be removing paid posts and adding no follow links within my posts because that is what you like. Go ahead and do what you do, because you are the King of Teh Internetz, no?
I have seen a few sites explain in great detail about how they changed all their posts, stripped the paid links and/or added no follows.
Not me. I do not care.
I will spend my free time doing other things.
I will continue to do what I do.
Life does not revolve around pagerank folks.

I decided to put all the linkage on a separate page. For now, all I have is the blogroll, but I will add more.

I created a Tumblr account a few weeks back. Just recently started playing around with it and saw the script that allows me to embed here. I mainly have used it to post funny things that friends say online on IRC or IMs. Definitely not a replacement for Twitter but it does allow you to post more characters.
I need to tweak it a little. For example, I would like to have the titles of the posts to be in bold so you can see the beginning and ending of each post.

My current web host plan will be up in about 3 months. I purchased a one year plan with my host provider, Host Monster. I have really been pleased with their service over the last nine months. I will most likely stick with this company unless I can find a better deal. Searching for a web host provider can be frustrating at times. There are a several factors that I consider, but initially I look at cost (annual or monthly and set up fees), disk space (how many MBs of storage), data transfer (how many GBs) and database (must have MySQL). I like to use websites like http://www.webhostingchoice.com that have search tools for finding web hosts that meet your needs.
I have learned the hard way that a cheap plan does not mean that it is the best plan. Besides an affordable package with the extra features, I need quality customer service that is easy to access, responds in a reasonable time frame, shows patience and understanding and provides the correct answers. After dealing with at least six different web hosts over the years, another one of my criteria for making the final pick is that the company must have a toll-free number. And if the number is available 24-7 then that is even better. Dealing with a company via e-mail is fine, but I appreciate the convenience of being able to use my phone to call a sales, customer service or tech representative for assistance. Afterwards, I would have no problem with following up with questions in an e-mail.
My web host provider has helped me a great deal since March. At this point it is likely that I will stick with them. If something changes in the near future then I will definitely do some research to find the best deal available within my means.
