Raiding ideas is a great way to make extra money in the game. If your overall value in the game is well in the trillions, raiding may not be appealing. I currently have an overall value in the game over B$ 125 trillion and I still enjoy raiding.
What is raiding?
From the help node: http://blogshares.com/help.php?node=14
Raid Blog: This move steals 20-100% of the idea commodities produced by a blog in the artefact’s industry. Max. 500. For raiding, most players simply select a blog from the drop down menu provided. These top blogs in the Industry will typically yield the most Ideas for a Raid.
Net Effects:
For the artefact wielder, raiding is a positive move in that they acquire Ideas for zero price, raising their Net Worth by the value of the Ideas raided. They can convert these Ideas into cash by selling the acquired Ideas either on the Ideas Market or by issuing Bonds for those Ideas. A raid does not affect any other player in the game or their Net Worth, other than removing some of the supply of Ideas in the Ideas Market. However, if the available Ideas in an Industry drop to zero, the price of the next Ideas produced in that Industry may be significantly higher or lower than the previous price, affecting many players’ Net Worths.
I read about Duels.com at TechCrunch and joined immediately after reading the article. This addicting game is free, so beware that is your warning. I have been playing it must of the day… yes I am a huge slacker.
You are about to embark on a journey of great rewards - where your combat and strategy skills will be challenged and honed to a fine edge. Carve your name into the Record of Champions. Rise to the pinnacle of dueling immortality. Fame, fortune and glory await you!
I decided to create a female elf. Female avatars were just recently added to the game, so that is cool. My elf’s name is Yrinnea… and yes I made that up.
My character’s origin is:
Yrinnea is a moon elf from the surface of Toril who was orphaned from her family when they were slain during the Great War. She was at the innocent young age of 110 when she watched her father and mother tortured and killed by a great warrior soldier. Her twin brother was carried away (presumed to also be tortured and then killed). Now at the teenage year of 210 she participates in DUELS and goes on quest for power in hopes of finding that enchanted soldier (which she was informed still lives).
I am not that creative to write such words… JT wrote it for me.

Last week, William and Keisha went to the circus for the first time. They saw the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey - Circle of Dreams at Scottrade Center as a field trip with their class. I was so excited to hear Keisha talk about all of the clowns that fit into one car… she actually counted them out for me; and William identify all of the animals that he saw.
I just wish I could have shared that experience with them, but I had to go to work *sigh*. The joy of being a parent that works full-time.
Maybe next time kiddos… but I am happy that you had a grand adventure.
William had some pretty nice artwork on the fridge last night with his refrigerator magnets. I wanted to take a picture of it for Wordless Wednesday, but the very next moment I looked, he already rearranged everything. Oh well. I love watching William and Keisha play with their alphabet and shape magnets on the fridge.
Do you remember playing with them when you were younger?
Over the years, I have gradually switched from preferring video game consoles to playing strictly PC games on my desktops. Before I make a game purchase at one of the retailers or online, I like to try a demo of the game, if it is available. Phelios allows you to download games in a demo format. There are games available for PC and mac games.
Phelios provides you with free evaluations of their games. The variety of games includes sports, puzzles, tycoon games and more. I even saw one of my all time favorites, which is Mahjong. After your demo period has expired, you can decide on whether you would like to purchase the game.
On Friday, September 14, William and Keisha turned three years old. Where have the three years gone? It seems like it was just yesterday when I proudly carried them in my womb, wobbling down the aisle with swollen feet and a smile on my face.
Three years later after Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 8:19 a.m., I am thankful the wobble and swollen feet are gone, but I still have a smile on my face. William and Keisha have gone through a great deal and accomplished so much during their second year of life. Contrary to pediatricians absurd recommendations, JT and I decided potty training is a necessity before age 5. Hundreds of diapers later, we have survived… William and Keisha are fully potty trained and in the big girl and boy classroom at daycare. Did you just see me do three backflips? The alphabet… you guys almost have it, you just get a little blurry around H but you pick up the pace soon after that.
I love to hear you sing songs such as Old McHaddold [sic], Itsy Bitsy Spiduh [sic], Twinkuh Twinkuh Little Stah [sic] and Blue Zoo Train. No one can sing the songs like my two bundles of joys. You know all of your colors, even some of those crazy ass made up ones in the Crayola box. You love the Disney Channel and actually prefer it over Sponge Bob SquarePants (thank God). William, your favorite snacks are cookies and chips… Keisha your favorite snack is …well you are the finicky one of the two. You change your mind daily *smile*
You can finally hold up three fingers when I ask you how old you are and Keisha, you are not sad anymore about turning three. JT says that this is a typical female response about getting older *evil eye*…
