Friday Five
Tomorrow is Tiffany’s wedding. I am a bit nervous (definitely not more than her, or am I?) considering I am in (Maid of Honor) the first wedding that I have ever attended. I hope I do not blow chunks every where during my speech at the reception.
Regardless, this will be Tiffany’s beautiful day (please do not rain!) and I will have pictures galore :D
Now this is a Friday Five that I can appreciate.
1. Are you going to school this year?
Yes, I am taking an at home course in Desktop Publishing.
2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate?
An at home course; Thompson-Education Direct. I graduated from college in May 2000, from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelors of Arts in Arabic.
3. What are/were your favorite school subjects?
Chemistry and math are my favorite school subjects. I also love foreign languages, political science, history linguistics and philosophy.
4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects?
English.
5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite?
Mrs. Oliver is my all time favorite teacher and Mr. Horton runs a close second. Mrs. Oliver was my tenth grade Honors English teacher. Mrs. Oliver taught me how to implement my thoughts into creative writing and the importance of being a (classy and elegant) woman. Mr. Horton was my seventh grade pre-algebra and eigth grade algebra teacher. Like Mrs. Oliver, Mr. Horton taught me to strive for the best. He guided me to the mathemathical path of excellence to insure that I would be able to (sucessfully) take Calculus in high school and not slack like so many other Black students were at my school. On top of that, he taught me the Pythagorean theorem!
I love these two teachers dearly.
