Loved Up
June 11th, 2007
William and Keisha bring so much joy in my life. If I am ever feeling down, all I have to do is look at there smiling faces and that brings an instant smile on my face. How could I be angry or stressed out when I look at those beautiful and loving children.

This is my entry for this week’s Moody Monday. The theme is: Loved Up.

Family Reunion
June 10th, 2007
This weekend, JT, the twins and I traveled to Memphis for a family reunion. We had a lovely time. This was William and Keisha’s first road trip and overall I think they did very well. They definitely are not used to being in the van for more than 45 minutes to an hour at a time, but I eased the impatience with plenty of fruit snacks and other goodies. Our van was packed… Uncle Fred and Uncle Ricky also road with us.
After arriving in Memphis, I was pleased to see everyone that I had not seen in a while. JT and I last went to Memphis in June 2003… before the twins were born. So this was the first time that many members of the family met William and Keisha. “Oooh, the twins, the twins,” everyone yelled. William and Keisha are very outgoing, but very shy when they first meet people. So it took them a moment to warm up. After about 30 minutes, they were running all over the place and hugging aunts, uncles and cousins.
God Willing, next year’s Family Reunion will be in California.
The picture below is of William and Keisha looking out the window in the hotel room, shortly after we arrived.

The Verve – Bitter Sweet Symphony
June 10th, 2007
I first heard this song in a weird but interesting movie named Cruel Intentions in 1999. On the other hand I really did not start digging this song until recently. Adam pointed the lyrics out to me, then I listened to the song. Wonderful song. Check out the Wiki for some interesting facts and history behind this song.
‘Cause it’s a bittersweet symphony this life
Trying to make ends meet, you’re a slave to the money then you die
I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places where all the veins meet, yeah
No change, I can’t change, I can’t change, I can’t change,
but I’m here in my mold , I am here in my mold
But I’m a million different people from one day to the next
I can’t change my mold, no, no, no, no, no
Well, I’ve never prayed,
But tonight I’m on my knees, yeah
I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah
I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind , I feel free now
But the airwaves are clean and there’s nobody singing to me now
No change, I can’t change, I can’t change, I can’t change,
but I’m here in my mold , I am here with my mold
And I’m a million different people from one day to the next
I can’t change my mold, no, no, no, no, no
(Well have you ever been down?)
(I can’t change, I can’t change…)
(Ooooohhhhh…)
‘Cause it’s a bittersweet symphony this life
Trying to make ends meet, trying to find some money then you die
I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places where all the veins meet, yeah
You know I can’t change, I can’t change, I can’t change,
but I’m here in my mold, I am here in my mold
And I’m a million different people from one day to the next
Lenny Kravitz – It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over
June 10th, 2007
My brother and I used to jam to this song together all the time. We had remote controls in our hand like they were microphones.
Here we are still together
We are one
So much time wasted
Playing games with love
So many tears I’ve cried
So much pain inside
But baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over
So many gears we’ve tried
To keep our love alive
But baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over
How many times
Did we give up
But we always worked things out
And all my doubts and fears
Kept me wondering
If I’d always be in love
So many tears I’ve cried
So much pain inside
But baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over
So many gears we’ve tried
And kept our love alive
‘Cause baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over
So many tears I’ve cried
So much pain inside
Baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over
So many gears we’ve tried
And kept our love alive
‘Cause baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over
So many tears I’ve cried
So much pain inside
Baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over
So many gears we’ve tried
And kept our love alive
‘Cause baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over (over, over)
So many tears I’ve cried
So much pain inside
Baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over
So many gears we’ve tried
And kept our love alive
‘Cause baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over (over, over, over)
So many tears I’ve cried
So much pain inside
Baby it ain’t over ’til it’s over (over…fade out)
Isley Brothers – Make Me Say It Again Girl
June 10th, 2007
O, Oh, I believe you are a rainbow
You’re all the heaven I need to see
You’re the promise everlasting
Ah, cuz where you are
I hope to be
Oh make me say it again girl
Make me say it again girl
Make me say it again girl
You’re all I need (Ah, yes you are)
You’re all (all)…
You’re all I need…
You’re all I need
Whatever pains inside
You make it better
You seem to realize
Where I’m concerned
You are the only who
Goes through changes
Giving my life direction
When I am turned
And, oh, oh make me say it again girl
Make me say it again girl
Make me say it again girl
You’re all I need (Ah, yes you are)
You’re all (all)…
You’re all I need…
You’re all I need, ooh, ooh, ooh
You’re all I need
How am I worthy of
Love from an angel
Princess superior of my soul
Don’t really matter if you
Choose not to answer
Hopin’ that what I reveal
You already know
And, Ah, make me say it again girl
Make me say it again girl
Make me say it again girl
You’re all I need (Ah, yes you are)
You’re all
You’re all I (oooh, oooh, oooh)
You’re all I need
Ah, sweet lady
Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh
Girl you’re all I need (I love you)
Girl you’re all I need
Girl you’re all I need
Girl you’re all I need
Ah, Why don’t you say it again girl
Girl you’re all I need
Girl you’re all I need (I wanna sing it, yeah)
Girl you’re all I need
I wanna, ooh, ooh, ooh, say it again girl
I wanna sing it, girl
I believe, I believe, I believe
You’re all I need
Say it again girl

Moola Invites
June 6th, 2007
What is Moola? Moola is the web’s first AdverTournamentTM; an ambitious entertainment project which took more than five years to develop and launch for the world to enjoy. Loosely described, Moola is something like a free super-jackpot game show, which allows anyone to become a millionaire on the internet, rather than watching others do so on TV. Similar to a TV game show, Moola is free and relies on sponsors to enable millions of people to vie for serious amounts of cash and prizes. The method used to facilitate competition is simple yet powerful: Sponsors give small amounts of money to millions of people, and then Moola allows those people to compete against one another so that individuals may win more or less, depending on how well they compete.
Free money… start off with as little as a penny and then a chance to win several thousands of dollars!!
Go here to get free Moola invites.
