I got this in an email from my best friend. While cleaning out my inbox, I thought I would share…
After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, “I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you.”
The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my Mother, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.
That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie. “What’s wrong, are you well,” she asked? My Mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.
“I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you, “I responded “just the two of us.” She thought about it for a moment, and then said, “I would like that very much.”
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had curled her hair and was staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. “It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small, “she said. “Then it’s time that you relax and let me return the favor,” I responded. During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation nothing extraordinary but catching up on recent events of each other’s life. We talked so much that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said, “I’ll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.” I agreed. “How was your dinner date?” asked my wife when I got home. “Very nice, much more so than I could have imagined,” I answered.

I have been awake since 5:00 a.m. and I am mentally and physically exhausted. Despite this, I cannot sleep. So I thought to get on the Ra, browse some sites and make myself sleepy enough to actually go to sleep.
William had had a tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and bilateral myringotomy and tubes this morning. Would you believe that the actual procedure takes about 30 minutes to perform? Amazing… well what took longer this morning was that William’s body took to the morphine a little too well. After the surgery, William did not want to wake up. This went on for so long that Dr. S. decided to use a drug to wake William up. Surgery took about 30 minutes and recovery took over 3 hours. Within this 3 hour period, I panicked a great deal. The only thing that brought complete comfort was when the nurse brought William to me and placed him in my arms.
Tears of joy flowed down my cheeks as I gently squeezed William and told him how much I love him and was proud of him for being such a strong little man.
All of the above mentioned procedures are normally outpatient surgeries, but because William had difficultly breathing after the surgery, Dr. S. decided it would be best for him to stay overnight for observation.
So here I lay on the pull out couch next to JT and William in the hospital bed. As long as William continues to drink fluids and urinate in this strange platic device… we will get to go home after breakfast in the morning.
As I continue to write this entry, I am getting more sleepy by the second. I will continue this story later.

I called my mom this afternoon to share some news with her. At the end of the call she shared the latest Benoit news with me. The latest news reports said that Chris Benoit, former WWE champion, killed his wife, son and then himself.
I believe that I was more speechless when I heard this news than when I heard about his death last night.
Please tell me that someone is framing him. Is it possible that someone could have arranged all of this and wants us to believe that Chris Benoit killed his family? I must be in denial. I just do not want to believe that a husband would strangle his wife then smother his son… a seven year old son then commit suicide by hanging himself. I refuse to believe.
“Autopsy results showed that Benoit first murdered his wife, Nancy. She was bound at the feet and wrists and died of asphyxiation sometime on Friday, Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard told a news conference.
She was wrapped in a towel and some blood was found under her head but Ballard said there were no other signs of a struggle.
The couple’s son, who also died of asphyxia, was apparently killed as he lay in bed on Saturday morning, hours before Benoit hung himself, Ballard said.
“It was the cord from the weights,” he said, describing how Benoit managed to strangle himself.

“Renowned pro wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and their 7-year-old-son, were found dead Monday afternoon in their Fayetville, Ga. home, Atlanta police said.
Police would not give any details on how Benoit, 40, his wife Nancy, and son Daniel died, other than to say they were not shot to death, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported Monday. Authorities are investigating the deaths.
he news came just a day after Benoit mysteriously pulled out of a World Wrestling Entertainment pay per view event, during which he was expected to be crowned Extreme Championship Wrestling world champion. Various pro wrestling news sources reported that Benoit was unable to appear at the event due to a family emergency.
“There are no further details at this time, other than the Benoit family residence is currently being investigated by local authorities,” the WWE said in a statement on its Web site.”

I taped RAW on my media center last night. After arriving home, my mom called and told me the news. I was speechless… after getting settled in, I started watching RAW, fast-forwarded through the commercials but I could not even get through the entire show. I was a overwhelmed with the heart-warming stories about Benoit and I kept thinking about why would someone do this to him and his family? An innocent seven year old…
