Sweet Baby James
November 30th, 2006
Onesome: Sweet– or sour? What type of sauces do you like on your dishes when you ‘do Chinese’?
Sometimes I put a little soy sauce on my rice. Other than that I enjoy only the sauce that comes with the dish, like garlic sauce or whatever sauce that is for the sesame chicken.
Twosome: Baby– back ribs? …or steak? Tofu? Chicken? It’s your choice; what would you like for your next meal “out”?
Now that I have been talking about Chinese… I think I want that for my next meal out. Second choice is pizza.
Threesome: James– town flood? What do flood your mashed potatoes with, gravy or butter? …or do you like them plain?
I cook the potatoes with butter but after preparation, I eat them plain.
How about you?
Song of the Moment
November 29th, 2006
I dig this song a lot. Very relaxing and romantic.
Kem- I Can’t Stop Loving You
[Verse 1:]
I think about the day I met the perfect stranger, I think about us.
And I think about the day I got wrapped around your fingers, I think about us.
The sun was shinning on you
The lord was smiling on me
And love was calling us I had my mind made up.
[Chorus:]
And I can’t stop loving you
I can’t help myself
And I can’t get over you
No matter what I tell myself baby.
[Verse 2:]
Never thought I’d ever love any one else in my weakness, I think about us.
And I think about the day you left without speaking, I think about us.
I think about the love we had for our children, I think about us.
I think about the way we laughed without a reason, I think about us girl.
There will be no more lies
Somebody tell me why I feel like I’m dying.
Lord what’s come over me
Ohh baby can’t you see
[Chorus:]
That I can’t stop loving you
I can’t help myself
And I can’t get over you
No matter what I tell myself baby
Yea Yea
I can’t stop loving you (stop loving you girl)
No matter how hard I try
And I can’t get over you baby
And I don’t know why
I think about us [x7]
Ooooohh, baby.
I can’t get over you!
Oh yea, baby.
Mmmmmmm, Girl.
What am I gonna do?
Oooooooh, baby.
I think about – the love we had.
I think about the way you laugh.
Mmmmm, girl, hey – hey.
I can’t get over you!
I can’t stop missing you baby,
I can’t stop wanting you baby,
I can’t stop loving you
GIRL-erl-erl
Hey-hey-hey-hey-hey-hey-hey
I can’t get over you!
I can’t stop missing you girl,
I can’t stop feeling you girl.
I can’t stop thinking bout you!
I can’t stop dreaming bout you
I can’t stop loving you girl.

1. Which of the holidays that you celebrate, do you feel is the most important?
I feel that Thanksgiving is the most important holiday that I celebrate. This holiday is about giving thanks to everything that I am blessed with and an excellent opportunity to spend the day with my lovely family.
2. Which holiday do you most enjoy?
Of course as a child and through my teenage years, I most enjoyed Christmas… because of the gifts. Hey, I am being honest. I am materialistic. Now that I am *ahem* an adult… I would have to say that I most enjoy Christmas because of the twins and celebrating their birthday.
3. Is there one holiday that your family tries to get together every year? If so, which one?
More than one. Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
4. Share one special memory from a past holiday.
Every Christmas, when I was younger, my grandfather used to go to the country and cut down a tree for our family. I remember looking forward to that special moment each year.
5. Name one holiday coming up, that you’re really looking forward to, and why.
Looking forward to bringing in the New Year with my family on December 31st. New Year’s Eve is a very symbolic holiday for me, filled with hope and desire for something new and positive changes for my family in the upcoming year.

Time is a Lot of Things
November 25th, 2006
Time is a lot of the things people say that God is.
There’s the always preexisting, and having no end.
There’s the notion of being all powerful — because nothing can stand against time, can it?
Not mountains, not armies.
And time is, of course, all-healing.
Give anything enough time, and everything is taken care of: all pain encompassed, all hardship erased, all loss subsumed.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
Remember, man, that thou art dust; and unto dust thou shalt return.
And if Time is anything akin to God, I suppose that Memory must be the Devil.
This quote is the prologue from A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon. JT checked the book out from the library. I read a few pages of it and didn’t care for the book, but I absolutely love this prologue. Time is God and Memory is the Devil. Interesting.
What Tarot Card am I?
November 24th, 2006

You are The Hierophant
Divine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching.
All things relating to education, patience, help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel.
The Hierophant’s purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, the Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant’s only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
When I woke up this morning, I thought today was Monday. Man, I really didn’t want to go to work. JT went to work early. Thankfully mom spent the night to watch the twins today since daycare is closed. After JT went to work, I knew I should have stayed awake, but I said to myself… just a little more sleep. I went back to sleep, had a nightmare and then woke up late. I missed my 7:30 a.m. bus and then caught the 8:00 a.m. bus. Fortunately I was able to meet up with the second bus on time. I hate that Metro St. Louis changed the bus routes and I know have to take two buses to work instead of one. Damn you.
The work day was fairly smooth. The aisles were pretty much ghost town because most people were at home with their families like I should have been.
Thanksgiving 2006
November 23rd, 2006
What am I thankful for…
Everyday when I wake up, I am thankful that God lets me breathe another day. I am thankful for my life. I am thankful for my health… I am working on my health, going to join a gym very soon. Next week matter of fact. Still working on the depression. Still working on other things. Although, I am not healthy like I want to be… I can breathe, walk, talk, work, think and carry my children… so that I am thankful for.
I am thankful for my children. William and Keisha. Everyday I look at my beautiful angels I thank God that you brought them into my life. I never dreamed of having twins, but here they are, my pride and joy. They have the capability to drive me nuts one minute and hug them with love the next. They are two years old now… how did that happen? When I last remembered, I was coming home from the hospital with newborns in infant carseats. Where did the time go? Keisha and William I am thankful that you are mine.
I am thankful for JT. We have been together for five years now… wow, five years. The longest relationship of my life. You are my lover, best friend and the father of my children. My soulmate. I love you dearly. I hope that we continue to work on our relationship as we have been doing the last few months. I look forward to the day when I say I do.
I am thankful for my family and friends. Mama, Dot, Tee Tee, C., Chrystal, H…. just to name a few but they are those who know me the best.
I am thankful for my cat, Tigger. You drive me crazy when you tear up our venetian blinds, but I still love you. I am thankful for my job. How else would I pretend to pay the bills? I am thankful for my house in which I live and wake up in everyday.
I am thankful for my enemies who have made me stronger over the years. Well maybe enemies is a nice dramatic word… but still it fits.
I am thankful for music. Music soothes my soul.
