Finally

I passed the trillionaire mark on Blogshares today. I didn’t move up in the rankings much, but I did make that monetary goal. I forgot about my idea industries held goal of 3,000.. oops, so I ended up at 2,973 industries held.

I am still sitting on a handful of expensive industries that have enough ideas to ready to build an arte, but I am just not ready to build them because they are so expensive. I will probably build a couple of them this month.

Just When I Thought

As I suspected yesterday, I stayed home with the twins today because The Runs just didn’t want to leave this household.  After JT and I watched Fallen on ABC Family last night on TiVo, we headed up to bed.  I thought I heard one of the children crying and it ended up being William.  JT went to their bedroom and there was a nice wet surprise for us… all over William but alas it somehow missed his bed linen.  Shit works crazy like that.  Runny shit works even crazier.

JT and I tagged team on William with the clean up.  Poor William looked helpless as JT and I told him that everything was going to be alright son.  I went downstairs to get William some juice because still my top priority is to keep him hydrated.  He actually drank more juice this time around than he did at dinner.  Within an hour JT was able to get William to bed.

Wake up this morning and yet another stinky surprise.  This one was very bad.  The smell wreaked up and down the hallways, around the corner and partly downstairs.  I had done so much washing over the last week that I unexpectedly ran out.  JT was kind enough to go to 7-Eleven to pick up some expensive ass Tide, but hey we did what we had to do.  I didn’t care about the cost.  I needed it to wash my baby’s linen and clothes.

Throughout the day I was quite militant about William and Keisha drinking their juice.  They love the V8 Mango & Peach Splash.  I kinda dig it myself.  Keisha had one normal stool today and yes I did celebrate this.  William still had a couple of loose bowel movements today, but it definitely was not as bad as yesterday.  His appetite was a bit stronger than before also.

I’ll just have to play it by ear in the morning about whether or not they will be going to daycare.

Random comment: Hand Sanitzer… can’t live without it.

The Runs

There must be a little virus running around because William and Keisha have had yucky stuff oozing out of their bottoms all day. I’ll probably be home from work with them tomorrow.

The worst thing about this, other than the mess, is that pretty much all you can do is work on keeping your children hydrated.

Meanwhile, I have been jamming to Jazz on my Global Tag Radio with my Last.fm account all day long.

Project Complete

This morning, I got up at 5:30am to finish a project for a client.  Thankfully, I left on the alarm by accident.  I usually turn the Bose alarm clock off on the weekend.  I didn’t stagger around when I woke up. I went straight to my desk and finished scanning the pictures.  Scanning prints can be very tedious and the touchups can be even worse if you start off with low quality prints.  Factoring in the time constraints and given less than a week to produce the project, I think I did pretty well.

Kinda Feels Like a Monday

Today… like most days at work, was draining.  As much as I don’t like the politics at my job, I’m wondering why I get involved in it.  Deep down, I think I can bring about something positve in the workplace.  I hope it won’t be at the expense of my well-being in the workplace.

I spoke to my dad briefly and like many conversations with him, it was draining.  He told me about a cousin of mine that is having twins.  I love anything twin related, but I was a little sad to hear that she is not finishing college, or at least not at this time.  I was set on finishing my bachelors degree… the only thing I would change now is going to graduate school right after my undergraduate studies.  Sometimes it feels like you need to have at least a Masters to get a really nice job.  I know to live comfortably my family needs to bring in six figures plus.  Years ago a one-hundred thousand dollar family income was a lot.  Not these days.  After taxes, insurance and other deductions, mortage, car note, utilities, gas, etc., that amount of money for a family of four is not a lot.  Don’t get me wrong, I know that there are plenty of families that live comfortably on less money.  What gets in our way is the satellite bill, phone bill, cellphone bill, etc… not necessities but rather luxuries and you get used to these luxuries and they become part of your daily life.  I would probably lose my mind if I didn’t have power like thousands of people in the Missouri and Illinois area right now.

Got off topic there.  So yeah she is having twins in February 2007.

Then my dad started talking about some of the rough things going on my life right now and then I felt absolutely drained.  I just listened.

This weekend I have a couple of projects to work on.

At least today is Friday.

A Song From My Love

When I first fell in love with Shaani… I let her in my heart… I never knew that I
would love her more like I did right from the start… But when I look back
over my mountains and the valleys where I’ve been….

(soprano voice)

It lets me know that I love you more, much more than I did then!

(Chorus)

And I keep fallin in love with her, fallin in love with her, over and over again.
I just keep on fallin in love with her over and over and over and over again!
Yes Shaani gets sweetier and sweetier as the days go by… Oh what a love between Rashaan & . I keep fallin in love with her, over and over and
over and over again!

(Softly & slowly in a whisper)

I just keep on fallin in love w/her, over and over and
over and over again…
